Born and raised in Mauritius, Sharleen found her passion for the textile world through her own family's business. She pursued her love of textiles by moving to Melbourne to undertake her study in Textile Design at RMIT, where she developed her skills.

Sharleen's artwork is mostly drawn from nature, organic geometric shapes, a love of woodblock prints and inspired by the bohemian lifestyle. Her work is rich in texture using the combination of bold designs, a warm and pastel colour palette with a sense of femininity and playfulness.

Sharleen’s design process includes art line drawing, Linocut, and hand rendering artwork to be placed into computer-aided applications. The combination of hand generated artwork enables the development of her creativity and skills.
